Let me introduce you to Kendrick Farris.  Farris has been on the 2008, 2012, and 2016 USA Olympic Weightlifting team and he is VEGAN!!!!!!!! I know you are are probably shocked, since everything we hear about paleo, RP, and many other diets calls for meat and lots of it, but Farris has proven you actually can be a VERY successful weightlifter while steering clear of animal products.  I found this article about Farris very interesting and thought it had some great information:
